Live at the Library

  • Glendale Public Library 5959 West Brown Street Glendale, AZ, 85302 United States (map)

Prepare yourself for a musical fright--just in time for the Halloween Season! The Tetra String Quartet will perform an original musical score by Stephen Prutsman to the classic silent horror film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

All subtitles will be in English.

"The most brilliant example of that dark and twisted film movement known as German Expressionism, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari is a plunge into the mind of insanity that severs all ties with the rational world. Director Robert Wiene and a team of designers crafted a nightmare realm in which light, shadow and substance are abstracted, a world a demented doctor and a carnival sleepwalker perpetrate a series of ghastly murders in a small community."

Concerts for this series at the Glendale Public Library are free and open to the public. Live at the Library is supported by the Glendale Performing Arts Partnership Grant, the City of Glendale and the Mill Ave Chamber Players.
