Prelude No. 5 is from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s 13 Preludes pour Piano, Opus 32. This set of preludes was composed in 1910 and was completed as a compliment to his earlier works, which, when combined complete a set of preludes in all 24 major and minor keys.
Transcribed for the Mill Ave Chamber Players during their 2016-2017 season.
Scored for woodwind quintet: flute, oboe, clarinet in B flat, horn, and bassoon.
